100mm Rubber Petrol & Oil Suction Hose

100mm rubber petrol and oil suction hose (RPOS100mm) is the largest draw hose in the range and it is used where volume is the whole job: tanker loading, terminal transfer and bulk fuel handling. The steel wire helix is what allows a 100 mm bore to be put under vacuum at all, and it is the single feature that distinguishes this hose from the smooth-walled delivery hose of the same diameter.

Compatibility and fitting

• Recommended clamps SC121, or SC121SS in stainless
• Normally coupled with 100 mm camlocks rather than clamped tails alone
• The matching pressure hose is 100mm petrol and oil delivery hose
• Lay the run so the hose is not twisted; a twisted helix hose works its couplings loose

Is a suction hose stronger than a delivery hose?

Not in pressure terms. Both are rated 10 bar. The difference is vacuum: the helix resists collapse, which a cord-only wall cannot do at any bore, least of all this one.
