12mm (1/2") Blue Silicone Heater Hose

12mm (1/2") blue silicone heater hose (part SILHH12) is the workhorse heater hose size, used for heater cores, bypass loops and small radiator connections across cars, trucks, buses and plant. Silicone holds its properties through heat cycling where rubber hardens and splits, which is why it is specified on vehicles and plant that cannot afford a coolant failure.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 12mm hose fits a 12mm spigot or outlet
• Use a smooth band or T-bolt clamp from the clamp range; silicone is softer than rubber and a perforated band can bite the wall
• For fuel lines use SAE 30R7 fuel hose, not silicone
• Matching silicone clamp kits are in the silicone hose range

Is this hose suitable for fuel or oil?

No. It is ozone and oil splash resistant, meaning it survives contact from outside, but it must not carry fuel or oil. Use a hose rated for the fluid, such as SAE 30R7 fuel hose.
