Blue silicone heater hose handles the sustained under-bonnet heat that softens ordinary rubber coolant hose. Stocked in eight sizes from 6 mm (1/4") to 25 mm (1") and cut to length from one to 20 metres, it suits cabin heater circuits, coolant bypass lines and small water runs on performance and marine engines.

About Blue Silicone Heater Hose 150 Deg C

Blue silicone heater hose is the upgrade for coolant lines that sit close to the heat. Silicone holds its flexibility and wall strength at sustained under-bonnet temperature where standard rubber heater hose goes hard and splits, and this is the 150°C grade. Hose Suppliers Australia cuts it to length from our Brisbane warehouse in eight sizes, so a heater circuit or bypass run can be replaced without buying a full coil.

Sizes of silicone heater hose we stock

  • 6 mm (1/4") and 8 mm (5/16"): overflow, vacuum and small bypass lines.
  • 10 mm (3/8") and 12 mm (1/2"): the common sizes on heater taps and auxiliary coolant runs.
  • 16 mm (5/8") and 19 mm (3/4"): cabin heater feed and return on most cars and 4WDs.
  • 22 mm (7/8") and 25 mm (1"): larger heater circuits, marine and generator engines.

Every size is cut to order in one, three, five, 10, 15 and 20 metre lengths. For larger coolant and boost work, step across to the blue silicone radiator and intercooler hose range, which starts at 25 mm.

Choosing the right silicone heater hose

  • Size: measure the outlet outside diameter and order that as the hose inside diameter. Do not size off the old hose, which has usually swollen.
  • Fluid: coolant and water only. Fuel and oil need a nitrile-lined hose from our fuel line hoses range.
  • Routing: silicone bends well but still needs support on long runs so it does not chafe or sag onto hot metal.
  • Clamping: choose a T-bolt or non-perforated band clamp from our hose clamps range so the soft wall is not cut.
