16mm (5/8") US Coast Guard Approved Marine Fuel Hose

16mm US Coast Guard approved marine fuel hose (RFUSCG16) is the largest bore in the barrier range, used for high-flow feed and vent work on larger vessels. It is Continental marine fuel line branded USCG/SAE J1527 Type A1, ISO 7840-A1 and CE, made in the USA, and it meets both US Coast Guard and IMCI requirements for Type A1 service on gasoline tanks.

Compatibility and fitting

• A vent line must rise continuously to the vent fitting; a sag traps fuel and blocks the vent
• Deck fill runs take the Type A2 fuel filler hose instead
• Stainless hose clamps sized to close on the hose, tightened evenly
• Check the branding is still legible at survey; if it has worn off, the hose cannot be shown to be approved

Can this hose be used as a vent line?

Yes. Continental rates the Type A1 line for fuel feed and vent applications on marine pleasure craft, so the same hose covers both provided the run is sized and routed correctly.
