20mm (3/4") Two Wire Hydraulic Hose 3120psi

20 mm (3/4") two wire hydraulic hose carries 3120 psi and is built to SAE 100R2AT. At this bore the hose is usually doing volume work: pump delivery, high flow motor feed and the return leg that has to get oil back to tank without building back pressure. Two braids of high tensile steel wire, seamless synthetic rubber tube, and a cover that shrugs off oil and weather.

Compatibility and fitting

• Fits two wire crimp ends and ferrules cut for 20 mm (3/4") R2AT hose
• Undersizing a return line raises back pressure and heats the oil, so keep the bore the machine was designed around
• The assembly is rated to its lowest rated component, adaptors and couplers included, not to the hose alone
• Heavy hose sitting on a chassis wears fastest, so sleeve it in HDPE spiral guard
• Big bore low pressure returns can use hydraulic push on hose

Should the return line be the same size as the pressure line?

Usually it is the same size or a step larger, because return oil is at higher volume and lower pressure. Fitting a smaller return hose to make it neater is a common cause of hot oil and sluggish rams.

The range runs from 6 mm to 25 mm in two wire hydraulic hose.
