20mm (3/4") US Coast Guard Approved Fuel Filler Hose

20mm US Coast Guard approved fuel filler hose (RPOSUSCG020) is the small end of the fill range, used for tank vent lines and auxiliary fills where a 3/4" spigot is fitted. It is Continental Plicord hose approved to SAE J1527 Type A2, ISO 7840 and CE, and the approval is printed along the length so a surveyor can read it in place. In marine work that marking is the point: an unapproved hose on a fuel fill is a compliance failure, not a preference.

Compatibility and fitting

• Measure the deck filler spigot and the tank neck separately; they are not always the same size
• Sized on inside diameter, so a 20 mm hose goes over a 20 mm spigot
• Feed and return lines take USCG approved barrier fuel hose, which is approved to Type A1
• Secure with marine grade stainless hose clamps, two per joint on a fill line

What is the difference between Type A1 and Type A2?

They are separate approvals under SAE J1527. This hose carries the Type A2 approval for fill service. Feed and vent lines on a gasoline tank are specified as Type A1, so check which one the installation calls for before ordering.
