25mm Rubber Water Suction Hose

RWS025mm is a 25 mm (1") rubber suction hose for small petrol pumps and washdown sets. Rubber earns its place over PVC here because the cover keeps working after a season of being dragged over gravel, dropped into a creek and left in the sun. Inside, a steel wire helix and high strength synthetic cord hold the bore round against pump vacuum. Rated 10 bar (145 psi) across -20 to +80°C.

Compatibility and fitting

• Takes 25 mm tails and camlock shanks; the range is under camlocks

Why choose rubber over grey PVC at 25 mm?

Abrasion and handling. The black rubber cover survives dragging and rough edges better, and it stays flexible in the cold end of its -20 to +80°C range where PVC stiffens up.

Does the hose need a strainer?

On any open water source, yes. The helix keeps the bore open but it will not stop debris, and a blocked impeller costs more than a strainer. Fit one at the wet end of the run.
