32mm Rubber Water Suction Hose

A 32 mm rubber suction hose, sold as RWS032mm, sits between the water and the pump on small irrigation and transfer sets. The steel wire helix moulded into its synthetic cord carcass is what allows it to work on an inlet at all, since vacuum closes any hose that has no rigid element in the wall. Black smooth rubber cover, 10 bar (145 psi) working pressure, -20 to +80°C, cut to the length of the run.

Compatibility and fitting

• Terminates on 32 mm hose tails or camlocks; see camlock fittings
• The helix makes the hose stiff at the fitting, so clamp firmly with a hose clamp at both ends of the barb

Can I cut a length off myself?

It is stocked in fixed cut lengths from 1 m to 20 m because the steel helix has to be cut cleanly and the end trimmed square. Order the length the run needs rather than trimming a longer piece.

Does it matter which way round the hose goes?

The hose itself has no direction, but the run does. Keep the suction leg short and rising toward the pump so air cannot collect in a high spot and break the prime.
