35mm Rubber Petrol & Oil Suction Hose

35 mm is not a size most suppliers carry, and that is exactly why RPOS035mm is worth knowing about. It is the bore fitted to a good many farm and plant refuelling pumps, and dropping to 32 mm or stretching a 38 mm hose over the tail both cause trouble on a suction leg where any air leak stops the prime. 35mm rubber petrol and oil suction hose carries a steel wire helix so the wall holds its shape under vacuum.

My pump inlet is 35 mm, can I use a 38 mm hose?

It is a poor substitute. An oversized bore stretched over a smaller tail leaves a gap that a clamp closes unevenly, and on a vacuum line that gap draws air rather than leaking fuel, so it is easy to miss.
