5mm (3/16") Fuel Hose Automotive SAE30R7

5mm (3/16") SAE 30R7 fuel hose is the smallest fuel line in the range, used for carburettor feeds, return lines, vacuum and vent lines, and the small bore work on motorcycles, mowers and outboards. The nitrile rubber tube is compounded to resist diesel, oil and unleaded petrol including ethanol and methanol blends, and the cover withstands fuel, vapour, moisture and heat to 100°C.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 5mm hose fits a 5mm barb or spigot
• Clamp with a smooth band or fuel rated hose clamp; a perforated band can cut a fuel line over time
• This is a low pressure hose. Do not use it after a high pressure injection pump
• Do not substitute general purpose rubber multi purpose hose, which is not rated for fuel

Will ethanol blend fuel damage it?

The nitrile tube is compounded to resist unleaded petrol and blends of ethanol and methanol, which is exactly why SAE 30R7 is specified over general rubber hose. Ordinary rubber hose goes soft and fails on E10.
