60mm (2 3/8") Blue Silicone Radiator/Intercooler Hose

60 mm (2 3/8") covers the metric radiator outlets that sit awkwardly between 57 mm and 63 mm, which is a common spot for European and Japanese engines. It is a mid-bore coolant and charge air hose in blue silicone, cut to 250 mm, 500 mm or a metre. Note the supplier's own restriction before you specify it: not suitable for fuel or oil transfer.

Compatibility and fitting

• Fit it with a smooth band or T-bolt clamp from the clamp range; the slots in a perforated band press into silicone and leave a groove the seal has to work around
• 60 mm is the inside diameter, over a 60 mm spigot
• Check the pipe with a vernier before choosing between 57 mm, 60 mm and 63 mm
• For fuel lines use automotive fuel hose instead

Is 60 mm close enough to 63 mm?

No. Three millimetres of bore is the difference between a hose that seats on the pipe and one the clamp has to squeeze down onto it. On a coolant line under pressure that shows up as a weep, and on a boost line it blows off.
