6mm (1/4") Blue Silicone Heater Hose

6mm (1/4") blue silicone heater hose (part SILHH06) is a small bore silicone line used for coolant bleed and overflow, turbo actuator and boost signal lines, and any short connection near a hot engine where rubber perishes. Silicone holds its properties through heat cycling where rubber hardens and splits, which is why it is specified on vehicles and plant that cannot afford a coolant failure.

Compatibility and fitting

• Sized on inside diameter: 6mm hose fits a 6mm spigot or outlet
• Use a smooth band or T-bolt clamp from the clamp range; silicone is softer than rubber and a perforated band can bite the wall
• For fuel lines use SAE 30R7 fuel hose, not silicone
• Matching silicone clamp kits are in the silicone hose range

Can I use this for boost signal?

Yes, for signal and actuator lines it is ideal because it survives underbonnet heat far better than rubber. It is not suitable for fuel or oil, so keep it off anything carrying either.
