76mm (3") Blue Silicone Radiator/Intercooler Hose

76 mm (3") is the standard big-bore charge air size, used on high-flow turbo piping, truck cooling and machinery radiators. Three inch pipework moves enough air that a hose which collapses on a bend costs measurable boost, which is the argument for a silicone wall on four plies of polyester rather than a soft rubber sleeve. The supplier's restriction stands at every bore: no fuel, no oil transfer.

Compatibility and fitting

• Use a T-bolt or smooth band clamp: at 76 mm the band has to pull a lot of wall down evenly, and a perforated clamp cuts in rather than gripping. See the clamp range.
• 76 mm is the inside diameter, so it fits 3" pipe
• Bead the pipe ends where you can; the hose holds far better against pressure
• Fuel lines take automotive fuel hose

Is a 3 inch hose the same thing?

Yes. The supplier gives this bore in both units, 76 mm and 3", so an order placed in either unit lands on the same part, SILRH-300.

How do I stop a 3 inch join blowing off?

Get the clamp fully behind the bead on the pipe, use the right band type, and check the pipe is clean and dry when the hose goes on. Most blow-offs are a clamp sitting half on the pipe end.
