86mm (3 1/4") Blue Silicone Radiator/Intercooler Hose

86 mm (3 1/4") is an uncommon bore that is hard to find when you need it, which is why it is stocked as its own size rather than left to a 76 mm or 90 mm hose stretched onto the pipe. It suits large radiator outlets and big intake runs on trucks and machinery. Like the rest of the range it is a coolant and charge air hose, and the supplier states it is not suitable for fuel or oil transfer.

Compatibility and fitting

• A T-bolt clamp is the sensible fitting at this diameter; perforated bands press into the silicone and can leave a leak path where they cut in. Bands are in the clamp range.
• The 86 mm figure is the bore, over an 86 mm pipe or 3 1/4" spigot
• Measure the pipe rather than the old hose, which will have stretched
• Fuel and oil belong on automotive fuel hose

Why is 86 mm listed separately when 90 mm exists?

Because four millimetres of bore decides whether the hose seats on the pipe or relies on the clamp. Where the pipe genuinely measures 86 mm, forcing a 90 mm hose on it puts the whole join on the band.
