90mm (3 1/2") Blue Silicone Radiator/Intercooler Hose

90 mm (3 1/2") is the largest of the big-turbo bores before the range moves into heavy plant sizes. It carries charge air on high-flow intake systems and coolant on truck and machinery radiators, and the four-ply polyester carcass is what stops a bore this size going oval on a bend. Coolant and air only: fuel and oil transfer are outside what the supplier rates this hose for.

Compatibility and fitting

• Clamp with a T-bolt or smooth band. A perforated band on a 90 mm silicone join concentrates its load in the slots and cuts a groove into the wall; the clamp range has bands that do not.
• 90 mm is the inside diameter, over a 3 1/2" pipe
• Route it so the hose is not taking side load from unsupported pipework
• Petrol, diesel and oil need automotive fuel hose

Will it kink on a tight bend?

A straight silicone hose has a practical bend limit, and at 90 mm it is generous but not unlimited. Where the run turns sharply, a moulded elbow holds the section better than bending a straight length past its comfortable radius.
