Stainless Steel Hose Tail x Female BSP

This hose tail carries a female BSP thread instead of a male one, so it screws down onto a male stub — a pump outlet, a tank nipple, a valve spigot — and takes the hose on the barbed end. The ten sizes are all matched, tail and thread the same, from 3/8" through to 4", rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure in 316 stainless.

Compatibility and fitting

• Hold the hose on the barb with a hose clamp sized to the hose outside diameter
• Where the port is female, order the hose tail x male BSP instead
• Screws onto a hex nipple if the tank boss is female

Male tail or female tail?

Look at the port, not the hose. A threaded hole takes the male tail; a stub with a thread on the outside takes this female one. Getting it round the wrong way is the single most common reason a hose tail comes back, so check the port before you order.
