100mm Layflat Hose Blue

The 100 mm size is the largest blue layflat we cut, sold as LF100B against a 104 mm nominal bore and a 108 mm outside diameter. It holds 60 psi (4.1 bar) at 20°C, which is plenty for the low-head, high-volume work this bore is bought for: flood pumping, bulk transfer and site drainage. It only goes on the pressure side of the pump, since a flat wall has no way to stay open under vacuum.

Compatibility and fitting

• Terminated with 100 mm camlocks or tails; sizes are under camlock fittings
• Support the coupling at this bore, because a charged 100 mm line loads the joint hard
• Large band clamps are listed with the hose clamps
• For the inlet, use a helix hose such as grey PVC suction hose

Why is a 100 mm layflat hose listed with a 104 mm bore?

100 mm is the trade size used for ordering fittings; 104 mm is the nominal internal diameter the supplier publishes for the extruded hose. Buy fittings to the 100 mm size.

Is this hose suitable for a pump inlet?

No. Layflat has no helix, so vacuum shuts it flat and the pump cavitates or runs dry. Every layflat size, this one included, belongs on the discharge side only.
