About Layflat Hose Blue

Layflat hose is the hose you run out when the job is done and rolled up when it is not. Made from blue PVC, it flattens when empty and rounds out under pressure, which makes it the standard discharge hose on transfer pumps, irrigation lines and dewatering jobs. Hose Suppliers Australia cuts it to length in six sizes.

Layflat hose sizes we stock

  • 32 mm and 40 mm: small transfer pumps, garden and household irrigation lines.
  • 50 mm and 63 mm: the workhorse sizes for water cartage, dewatering and fire fighting pumps.
  • 75 mm and 100 mm: high volume transfer, flood and site drainage work.

Each size is cut in 1 m, 5 m, 10 m, 15 m, 20 m and 25 m lengths.

Choosing the right layflat hose

  • Size: match the pump discharge outlet rather than the fitting you happen to have.
  • Duty: layflat is a delivery hose only. For the suction side of a pump use grey PVC suction hose.
  • Couplings: fit camlock fittings for quick changes and secure them with a suitable hose clamp.
  • Colour: use red layflat hose to separate a second line on site.
