10mm (3/8") Single Wire Hydraulic Hose 2610psi

10 mm (3/8") is the bore most often pulled off a tractor or a piece of mobile plant, and this single wire hose carries 2610 psi at that size. The reinforcement is one braid of high tensile steel wire; inside it a seamless synthetic rubber tube handles oil and water, and outside it a synthetic rubber cover takes the weather, oil and rubbing that a machine line lives with. We cut it per metre rather than selling coils only.

Compatibility and fitting

• Use one wire hydraulic fittings and ferrules made for 10 mm (3/8") hose, crimped to the fitting maker's crimp diameter
• The weakest part sets the rating: a 2610 psi hose behind a lower rated adaptor is a lower rated line
• Where hoses cross or lie against steel, fit HDPE spiral guard before the cover wears through
• Higher pressure circuits at this bore belong on two wire hydraulic hose
• Return and case drain lines can run on hydraulic push on hose

Is 10 mm hydraulic hose the same as 3/8 inch?

Yes. Hydraulic hose is sized on the inside diameter, and 10 mm is the metric name for the 3/8" bore. The outside diameter changes with the number of braids, so an old two wire hose of the same bore will look fatter than this one.

How do I measure the hose I am replacing?

Cut the old hose back and measure across the inside of the tube, not the outer cover. Then read the layline for the pressure the machine was built around, and match or better it.
