15mm John Guest Connectors

Four bodies cover most of a 15 mm water layout: joiner JGJ15 for a straight run, elbow JGE15 to turn a corner, tee JGT15 to take a branch off and end cap JGEC15 to close a line. All four are push fit, so a fitout can be dry-assembled, checked and changed before anything is fixed down.

Compatibility and fitting

• Bodies are sized on tube outside diameter and take 15 mm tube, blue or red
• None of the four is threaded, so a 1/2 inch BSP connection needs an adaptor
• Back up soft tube with a 15 mm insert before the joint is made

Can a 15 mm elbow go on 12 mm tube?

It cannot. The collet is cut for one diameter, so a 12 mm run takes the 12 mm elbow instead. Mixing sizes across a joint is the commonest reason a push fit line weeps.

How is the tube released again?

Push the collet in towards the body and draw the tube out. Where the line vibrates, a 15 mm locking collar clips behind the collet so it cannot be pressed by accident.
