32mm PVC Oil Suction Hose Blue

The 32 mm bore, PSHB032, sits between the drum pump sizes and the transfer sizes, and it is the one to reach for when a 25 mm line is starving a slightly bigger pump. Outside diameter is 39.4 mm. The wall is a heavy duty flexible blue PVC with a rigid PVC helix and a high nitrile content, which is what gives it improved resistance to mineral oils and animal fats and reduces compression set where the hose sits coiled. Working pressure is 0.8 MPa (116 psi) at 20°C.

Compatibility and fitting

• Takes 32 mm tails or camlocks clamped over the helix
• Check every chemical against a compatibility chart: the hose is listed for mineral oils, some fuels and mild chemicals, not everything

Why does the pressure rating fall as the bore grows?

The same wall thickness has to hold back a larger area of fluid. Across this range the working pressure drops from 0.9 MPa at 25 mm to 0.8 MPa here and 0.5 MPa at 76 mm, so check the figure for the bore you are ordering.
