Nylon BSP Female Tee

A threaded tee with female threads on all three legs, branching a line three ways. Unlike the barbed hose tee, this goes into threaded pipework rather than into the middle of a hose run.

• 1600 kPa at 20°C for 6 mm to 50 mm, 1200 kPa at 65 mm, 1000 kPa from 80 mm to 100 mm
• Will not corrode, unlike brass or steel, in fertiliser, bore water and coastal air

Compatibility and fitting

• All three legs accept a male thread
• Plug an unused leg with a nylon BSP plug rather than leaving it open
• For a branch off a hose run, use the barbed hose tee instead
• Seal threads with a thread sealing paste or thread tape
• Nylon threads strip more easily than brass: tighten by hand and finish with a light nip, never a long lever
• Check the pressure band for the size you are buying, as it steps down above 50 mm

Threaded tee or hose tee?

Threaded goes into pipework, barbed goes into hose. Mixing them up is the most common ordering mistake in this range.

Can I cap a leg for future use?

Yes, and it is worth doing. A plugged leg now saves breaking into the line later.
