Relaxn Fresh Water Pump 11 LPM 55 PSI 12V 4 chamber with bypass

BP1112 is the pump that turns a tank into a plumbed water system on a caravan, camper or small boat: 11 litres per minute at 55 PSI, on 12V DC. It is a four chamber diaphragm pump with an integrated bypass, and the bypass is the part that matters day to day, because it takes the pressure spike out of a tap being closed and stops the pump cycling on and off every time somebody rinses a cup. It is self-priming, so it can be mounted above the tank without a foot valve.

Is 11 LPM enough for a shower?

For a single outlet, yes. Where it runs short is two outlets at once, which is when a shower fades as somebody opens the galley tap. Add up the outlets that may run together, and step up to BP1912 if that is a normal pattern on your van or boat.

What does the bypass do?

It relieves pressure back through the pump instead of letting it spike when a tap shuts. That reduces cycling, which is the noise people complain about most in a small van at night.
