200 mm Grey Plastiflex Ducting is grey PVC ducting reinforced with a steel wire helix. It is a large trunk size for the main line of a workshop or plant extraction system, and for direct connection into a dust collector.

Compatibility and fitting

Can I reduce a 200 mm run down to branches?

Yes, and you should. The trunk carries the combined flow and the branches carry their own, so the run steps down as machines drop off it. Reducing all at once at the collector wastes the trunk.

Why a steel helix rather than PVC?

Steel holds the bore open against suction. On a long run or a strong extractor, a duct with a softer helix starts to collapse and chokes the airflow, which is the usual reason an extraction system underperforms.
