25mm (1") Two Wire Hydraulic Hose 2400psi

25 mm (1") is the largest two wire bore we stock, rated 2400 psi to SAE 100R2AT. It is a high flow hose: main suction to pump feed on larger units, big return legs, and motor circuits where the volume of oil matters more than the pressure figure. Two high tensile steel wire braids over a seamless synthetic rubber tube, with an oil, weather and abrasion resistant cover.

Compatibility and fitting

• Two wire crimp fittings and ferrules for 25 mm (1") R2AT hose; nothing at this bore is field assembled with clamps
• Rate the whole assembly, not the hose: flanges, adaptors and couplers all have to meet 2400 psi or better
• Support long runs of 25 mm hose with clamps so its own weight does not pull on the fittings
• Fit HDPE spiral guard anywhere the hose lies against steel
• Smaller, higher pressure bores are listed in two wire hydraulic hose

Why is the biggest hose the lowest rated?

Because two braids have to restrain a much larger internal area at 25 mm than at 6 mm. The 2400 psi figure is not a lesser hose, it is the honest limit for that bore, and it is why bore and pressure are chosen together rather than one after the other.

Can I use this hose on a suction line?

It is a pressure hose, not a collapse resistant suction hose. On the inlet side of a pump, ask us about hose built for vacuum rather than assuming a pressure hose will hold its shape.
