Description
PHDRUM25 is the hose that goes on a hand operated drum pump for diesel, which is why it is built from a PVC and nitrile blend rather than plain PVC: the nitrile content is what gives it resistance to diesel fuel and mineral oils. The smooth cover means it wipes clean rather than holding fuel in a ribbed surface, and the UV stability lets it live on a drum in a farm shed or out in a yard. Nominal bore is 25 mm with a 32.5 mm outside diameter, rated 1.6 MPa (230 psi) at 20°C to a 4:1 safety factor.

Compatibility and fitting
- Fits a 25 mm hose tail; clamp with a band sized to the 32.5 mm outside diameter from hose clamps
- This is a delivery hose with no helix, so it must not go on a pump inlet under vacuum
- For a suction line use rubber petrol and oil suction hose
Can it be used on a powered fuel transfer pump?
On the delivery side, within the 230 psi rating. The supplier lists it for hand operated drum pumps and gravity applications, so for a powered installation confirm the pump's discharge pressure against that figure first.
Will it handle petrol as well as diesel?
The published resistance is to diesel fuel and mineral oils. Petrol is more aggressive, so use a hose specifically rated for it rather than assuming the nitrile content covers everything.
