100mm Rubber Water Suction Hose

RWS100mm is the largest rubber suction hose in the range, a 100 mm bore for big trash, flood and transfer pumps. Everything about it is built around one requirement: staying round while a large pump pulls a vacuum through it. A steel wire helix does that, backed by high strength synthetic cord that also gives the hose a 10 bar (145 psi) pressure rating. Black smooth rubber cover, -20 to +80°C, cut in lengths from 1 m to 20 m.

Compatibility and fitting

• 100 mm couplings and tails are the termination; see camlock fittings
• Clamp with a band clamp sized over the helix from hose clamps
• The matching discharge line is 100 mm red layflat hose or rubber water delivery hose
• Smaller bores are listed on rubber water suction hose

Why not use a 100 mm layflat hose on the pump inlet?

Layflat has no helix. Under vacuum it folds shut against itself and the pump runs dry, which at this size can destroy a seal in minutes. Suction duty needs the steel wire helix in this hose.

How is a 100 mm run handled on site?

In sections. Order the cut length the run needs, keep it short and straight, and support the hose near the pump so the coupling is not holding up a charged 100 mm line.
