10mm (3/8") Two Wire Hydraulic Hose 4800psi

10 mm (3/8") two wire hydraulic hose rated 4800 psi, made to SAE 100R2AT with two braids of high tensile steel wire over a seamless synthetic rubber tube. This is the bore that feeds most attachments: grapples, augers, brush cutters and anything that plugs into an auxiliary circuit, where the hose has to survive being coupled and uncoupled in the paddock.

Compatibility and fitting

• Two wire fittings and ferrules for 10 mm (3/8") R2AT hose, machine crimped rather than clamped
• Quick release couplers are often the lowest rated item on an attachment hose, and the assembly can be no better than that part
• Attachment hoses drag on the ground: sleeve them in HDPE spiral guard and they last several times longer
• Lower pressure lines at this bore are cheaper in single wire hydraulic hose

Can I make a pair of hoses different lengths?

Yes, and on an attachment circuit it often helps to run the return slightly longer so the two hoses do not chafe against each other. Order the metres you need per hose rather than one length for both.

Does the coupler have to match the hose rating?

It has to be rated at or above the circuit pressure. Fitting a 4800 psi hose to a coupler rated well below it does not raise the coupler; the line is only as strong as its weakest component.
