115mm Black Rubber Air intake Ducting

115 mm is an odd bore and that is exactly why it is stocked: imported machinery and older extraction plant land on it, and stretching a 100 mm duct over a 115 mm spigot leaves the clamp doing all the holding. Black synthetic rubber on a wire helix, corrugated outside, rated -10°C to 125°C. Keep it to dust, chip, air and non combustible fume, which is the scope the supplier publishes.

Compatibility and fitting

• Measure the spigot across the outside: 115 mm ducting is bored to fit 115 mm
• Seat a worm drive clamp in a corrugation valley — the clamp range covers this diameter
• Do not force a 100 mm duct onto a 115 mm spigot; the join ends up held only by the band

Why does an unusual bore matter?

Because a duct that seats properly on the spigot seals on the whole overlap, not just under the clamp. On a suction line an imperfect seal pulls air in through the gap and drops the velocity through the whole branch.

Is it stocked in longer lengths?

It is cut from 1 m up to 9 m, and a 10 m coil is stocked for a run you would rather make in one piece.
