Description
125 mm is the top of the mid band, a large branch or a short main on a small system. It carries chip and sawdust from a big machine back towards the collector, and it is the last bore before the range moves into trunk sizes. Black synthetic rubber on a wire helix gives it abrasion life the plastic equivalents do not have; the corrugated outer keeps it flexible enough to route round structure. Rated for non combustible fume, dust, chip and air intake.
Key features
- Inside diameter 125 mm
- Black synthetic rubber, wire helix reinforced
- Corrugated wall for bending without collapse
- -10°C to 125°C
- Resists abrasion from chip and dust, resists UV
- DRFH125 in 1 m to 9 m cuts and a 10 m coil
Applications
- Large machine branch runs
- Short main runs on a small extraction system
- Chip lines from spindle moulders and four-siders
- Dust collector inlet connections
- Air intake and ventilation on plant
Compatibility and fitting
- Bore is 125 mm, over a 125 mm spigot or duct stub
- Worm drive clamps from the clamp range, seated between corrugations
- Above this size the trunk bores start at 150 mm in this same range
- Clear-wall alternatives are in polyurethane ducting
Branch or main run at 125 mm?
Both, depending on the system. On a two or three machine shop it is a perfectly good main; on a larger system it is a branch off a 200 mm or 250 mm trunk. Size it on the airflow the run actually has to carry, not on the biggest machine on the floor.
How hot can the extracted air be?
Up to 125°C. That covers warm process air and machine exhaust, and it is well beyond anything a woodworking extraction system will produce.
Every bore is listed in black rubber air intake ducting.
