12mm (1/2") SAER6 Hydraulic Push on Hose 400psi

The 12 mm (1/2") bore, part SAER608, is the largest size in this range still carrying the full 28 bar (400 psi) maximum. It is the usual choice for workshop air drops and for return lines big enough to move oil without back pressure. Reinforcement is one textile braid, so the hose can be pushed onto a barbed fitting by hand and routed around obstacles without a mandrel bend.

Compatibility and fitting

• On air, keep the temperature below +70°C and the pressure well under the 28 bar (400 psi) ceiling
• Pressure lines at this bore need two wire hydraulic hose

Is this the same as 12 mm push fit pipe?

No. Push on hydraulic hose slides over an external barb and grips it. Push fit plumbing fittings clamp a rigid tube inside a collet, and the two systems are not interchangeable at any pressure.

Will it take an air tool?

Yes, within the ratings: air to a maximum of +70°C and pressure well under 28 bar (400 psi). Most workshop compressors run far below that, so bore and fittings usually decide the tool's performance, not the hose rating.
