16mm (5/8") Rubber Multi Purpose Hose

16mm (5/8") rubber multi purpose hose (part RMPT16) is a large bore multi purpose hose for high volume air and low pressure transfer, used where a single line has to feed several outlets or a piece of plant on its own. The tube is black smooth synthetic rubber and electrically non-conductive, under a braided synthetic cord reinforcement and a red oil, ozone and weather resistant cover.

Compatibility and fitting

• Fits a 16mm hose tail; secure with a hose clamp, two per end under pressure
• Brass and stainless tails to suit are in the brass fittings range
• For petrol, diesel or fuel vapour use SAE 30R7 fuel hose, never this hose
• Keep within the -25°C to +100°C range; the cover hardens outside it

Air or water?

Both, within the 20 bar rating and the -25°C to +100°C range. It is genuinely multi purpose, which is why it turns up on compressors and wash down lines in the same workshop. Fuel is the exception.
