20mm Rubber Steam Hose Steel Wire Reinforced

Most plant steam lines run at 20 mm (3/4"), and RSS20 is the hose for them: a steel wire braided line rated to 18 bar (270 psi) for saturated and superheated steam. The wire carries the load a textile carcass will not, so the hose keeps its shape where it is dragged across a plant floor, coiled on a hook and pressurised again the next morning. Compatibility and fitting

• Fit crimped ferrules or bolted steam clamps only, and inspect every assembly before it is put under steam
• Bolted clamps for 20 mm steam service are in the clamps range
• Where the run has to be light and coiled by hand every day, fabric reinforced steam hose is the alternative construction

Steel wire or fabric reinforcement?

Wire for fixed and hard-worked lines that stay connected and take knocks; fabric where weight and flexibility matter more. The two constructions carry different pressure and temperature ratings, so check both figures against your steam supply before choosing.
