20mm Safety Yellow PVC Hose

PHS20 is the 20 mm bore in the safety yellow range, the size used for hand-held wash down, tap lines and compressed air drops where the hose has to be seen on a busy floor. Construction is a smooth black PVC inner wound with high tenacity polyester yarn under a high visibility yellow ribbed cover that resists abrasion and UV. Outside diameter is 28 mm, working pressure 1.6 MPa (230 psi) at 20°C to a 4:1 safety factor, and the hose conforms to AS/NZS 2554.

Compatibility and fitting

• Takes a 20 mm hose tail or a Nitto style coupling; see Nitto quick connect couplings
• Clamp to the 28 mm outside diameter using bands from hose clamps
• Where a white food-area hose is required, use white PVC washdown hose

Can the same hose carry air and water?

Yes. The supplier rates this hose for both, and the 230 psi working pressure covers ordinary shop air. On compressed air, restrain the coupling ends, because a hose that comes off under air pressure whips.
