25mm Rubber Steam Hose Steel Wire Reinforced

At 25 mm (1") the bore stops being the restriction on a steam line. RSS25 is the largest steel wire reinforced steam hose we stock, used on process and heating runs that have to pass volume rather than reach into a corner. The rating does not change with the bore: 18 bar (270 psi) working pressure on saturated and superheated steam, -40°C to +210°C, with a conductive EPDM tube inside high tensile steel wire braids.

Compatibility and fitting

• A 25 mm steam assembly carries real energy: crimp it, or use bolted steam clamps, and inspect the ends before every use
• Support long horizontal runs so the weight of a full hose is not hanging on the end fitting

How long does a steam hose last?

There is no fixed figure. Steam hose is retired on condition, and the condition changes with cycles, not calendar time. Cut a length open when you replace one and look at the tube: hardening and cracking on the inside is the usual reason a hose fails before its cover looks worn.
