32mm PVC Water Suction Hose Grey

PSHG032 is the 32 mm grey suction hose: a flexible grey PVC wall with a rigid PVC helix wound through it, so the bore holds its shape while the pump is drawing. Outside diameter measures 39.4 mm and the pressure rating is 0.8 MPa (116 psi) at 20°C. It is the size to reach for when 25 mm chokes the flow but the pump is still small. Supplied as a 20 m coil.

Will a 32 mm layflat hose work on the pump inlet instead?

No. Layflat has textile cord for pressure but nothing rigid for vacuum, so it collapses as the pump draws. Only a helix hose like this one keeps the inlet bore open.

Does the 20 m coil have to be cut?

It is stocked and sold as a 20 m coil for this bore. Keep the suction run as short and straight as the site allows, because every extra metre and bend costs the pump lift.
