38mm (1 1/2") Rubber Multi Purpose Hose

38mm (1 1/2") rubber multi purpose hose (part RMPT38) is the largest multi purpose hose in the range, for bulk air and low pressure transfer where nothing smaller will carry the volume. Supplied in 20 m coils. The tube is black smooth synthetic rubber and electrically non-conductive, under a braided synthetic cord reinforcement and a red oil, ozone and weather resistant cover.

Compatibility and fitting

• Fits a 38mm hose tail; secure with a hose clamp, two per end under pressure
• Brass and stainless tails to suit are in the brass fittings range
• For petrol, diesel or fuel vapour use SAE 30R7 fuel hose, never this hose
• Keep within the -25°C to +100°C range; the cover hardens outside it

Do I need this bore or a suction hose?

This is a pressure and delivery hose. It will collapse on the suction side of a pump, so if you are lifting rather than pushing, use a purpose built suction hose with a helix.
