50mm Safety Yellow PVC Hose

At 50 mm, PHS50 is the largest safety yellow hose we stock and the one used for large bore transfer and dust suppression, where the volume matters more than the weight of the hose. The outside diameter is 62 mm. Despite the size it holds the same 1.6 MPa (230 psi) working pressure at 20°C as the smaller bores, to AS/NZS 2554 and a 4:1 safety factor, and the high visibility ribbed cover keeps a heavy line obvious on a shared site.

• Smaller bores are on yellow PVC hose; for gritty water use Yellow Tail abrasive suction hose

Is 50 mm flexible PVC hose the same as flexible PVC pipe?

No. This is a reinforced pressure hose rated 230 psi, made to be dragged and coiled. Flexible pipe is a plumbing product with different fittings and no yarn reinforcement, and the two are not interchangeable on a pump.
