Description
57 mm is one of those bores that only matters when the spigot is 57 mm, and then nothing else will do. It sits between the 50 mm and 63 mm small-bore ducting, and turns up on machine outlets, extraction arms and intake plumbing built to imperial-ish sizes. Black synthetic rubber over a wire helix, corrugated outside, and rated by the supplier for dust, chip, air intake and non combustible fume only.
Key features
- 57 mm bore
- Black synthetic rubber, wire helix reinforced
- Corrugated wall profile for flexibility
- Working range -10°C to 125°C
- Abrasion resistant and UV resistant
- Ordered as DRFH057, cut 1 m to 9 m, or a 10 m coil
Applications
- Machine outlets that measure 57 mm
- Bench extraction arms and capture hoods
- Air intake on small engines and compressors
- Chip and sawdust pick-up at a single point
- Portable extraction on mobile plant
Compatibility and fitting
- Order on the spigot diameter: 57 mm ducting goes over 57 mm
- Fit a worm drive clamp sitting in a corrugation valley, from the clamp range
- If the spigot is genuinely 63 mm, take that bore rather than stretching this one
- Lighter-duty PVC ducting is in grey Plastiflex ducting
Should I choose 57 mm or 63 mm?
Measure the spigot with a tape across the outside, not the old duct. A duct that has been clamped for years has usually spread, and buying from that measurement lands you one size too big and a join that only the clamp is holding.
Does it hold shape under suction?
The wire helix is what does that. It keeps the bore open while the extractor pulls, where an unreinforced sleeve would flatten and choke the airflow.
Every bore, 40 mm through 300 mm, is in black rubber air intake ducting.
