5mm (3/16") Rubber Multi Purpose Hose

5mm (3/16") rubber multi purpose hose (part RMPT05) is the finest bore in the range, used for air tools and small pneumatic lines where the hose has to snake into tight spaces and weight on the tool matters more than flow. The tube is black smooth synthetic rubber and electrically non-conductive, under a braided synthetic cord reinforcement and a red oil, ozone and weather resistant cover.

Compatibility and fitting

• Fits a 5mm hose tail; secure with a hose clamp, two per end under pressure
• Brass and stainless tails to suit are in the brass fittings range
• For petrol, diesel or fuel vapour use SAE 30R7 fuel hose, never this hose
• Keep within the -25°C to +100°C range; the cover hardens outside it

Is 5 mm enough for an air tool?

For blow guns, staplers and small pneumatics, yes. For a grinder or a sander that draws continuously, step up to 10 mm or 12 mm, because the small bore is what starves the tool, not the compressor.
