8mm (5/16") SAER6 Hydraulic Push on Hose 400psi

SAER605 is the 8 mm (5/16") size, an in-between bore that gets specified on small engines and machinery where 6 mm restricts the flow and 10 mm will not fit the existing barb. Maximum working pressure is 28 bar (400 psi). A single textile braid gives it the flexibility to be routed by hand, and the tube is oil resistant synthetic rubber under a weather and abrasion resistant cover.

Is 8 mm the same as 5/16 inch hose?

Yes, 8 mm is the metric name for the 5/16" bore, and both refer to the inside diameter. Measure inside the old hose rather than over the cover, because cover thickness varies between hose types.

Can I use this hose for petrol?

The supplier lists it for low pressure air, water, oil and various chemicals. For automotive fuel service, buy hose sold and rated for fuel rather than assuming an oil resistant tube covers it.
