Description

90 mm sits between the 75 mm workshop drop and the 100 mm extractor standard, and it is the bore to order when the machine spigot measures 90 mm rather than either neighbour. It carries chip, sawdust and general dust on extraction branches, and air on intake runs. Black synthetic rubber, wire helix, corrugated outside; rated by the supplier for non combustible fume extraction, not for anything that can ignite.

Key features

  • 90 mm nominal bore
  • Synthetic rubber wall reinforced with a wire helix
  • Corrugated profile for flexibility on a branch run
  • -10°C to 125°C
  • Abrasion and UV resistant
  • DRFH090 in 1 m to 9 m, plus a 10 m coil

Applications

  • Extraction branches from 90 mm machine outlets
  • Docking saw and panel saw drops
  • Chip and shaving collection
  • Air intake on stationary plant
  • Non combustible fume capture

Compatibility and fitting

  • Ordered on the inside diameter: 90 mm ducting over a 90 mm spigot
  • A worm drive clamp in a corrugation valley holds it; the clamp range has the sizes
  • Reduce to 75 mm at the machine rather than stretching this bore down
  • Where you want to see the airstream, polyurethane ducting has a clear wall

Can I reduce 90 mm down to a smaller machine port?

Yes, with a reducer at the machine end, and it is the right way round to do it: keep the larger bore for the length of the run and step down only at the last connection, so the branch is not choked over its whole length.

How do I stop the clamp slipping off the corrugation?

Seat the band in a valley between two crests and tighten it there. On a corrugated wall a clamp sitting on a crest will walk off the end under vibration.

All bores are listed in black rubber air intake ducting.
