EFI fuel hose is the reinforced rubber hose used on electronic fuel injection systems, where the line sits under constant pump pressure rather than gravity feed. This range is being restocked, so the ranges below cover the fuel hose we hold in our Brisbane warehouse today.
Fuel hose ranges we stock now
- Fuel line: the full fuel hose category, from small engine line through to large-bore filler and transfer hose.
- SAE30R7 automotive fuel hose: 5 mm to 12 mm rubber fuel hose for carburettor feed, return and vent lines.
- US Coast Guard approved barrier fuel hose: low-permeation marine fuel hose from 6 mm to 16 mm.
- US Coast Guard approved fuel filler hose: 20 mm to 50 mm filler and vent hose for boat and tank fills.
Choosing the right fuel hose
- Pressure: an injection feed or return line runs far higher pressure than a carburettor feed, so low-pressure hose must not be used on an EFI system.
- Size: fuel hose is called out by inside diameter. Measure the pipe or barb the hose slides over, not the old hose.
- Fuel type: confirm the hose suits the fuel in use, including ethanol blends and diesel, before you cut it into a line.
- Clamping: use fuel-rated clamps and replace any clamp that has bitten into the cover of the old hose.
