Description

100 mm is the standard dust extractor bore and the most ordered size in this range. It is the duct between a collector and a machine in a workshop, and the black synthetic rubber wall is what keeps it in service when the airstream is full of chip. The corrugated outside lets it turn a corner without shutting; the wire helix keeps the bore open while the extractor pulls. Rated for dust, chip, air intake and non combustible fume extraction.

Key features

  • 100 mm inside diameter
  • Black synthetic rubber with wire helix reinforcement
  • Corrugated external wall
  • Temperature -10°C to 125°C
  • Abrasion resistant to sawdust and chip, UV resistant for outdoor runs
  • Part DRFH100, cut 1 m to 9 m or supplied as a 10 m coil

Applications

  • Dust collector inlet and branch runs
  • Docking saw, thicknesser and planer drops
  • Workshop chip transfer
  • Mobile extraction units
  • Engine and plant air intake

Compatibility and fitting

  • 100 mm is the bore, so it fits a 100 mm spigot or duct stub
  • Clamp with a worm drive band from the clamp range, seated in a corrugation
  • If you want to see a blockage rather than hunt for it, polyurethane ducting has a clear wall
  • For lighter fume and ventilation duty, grey Plastiflex ducting is the cheaper wall

Rubber or PVC for a 100 mm extraction run?

If there is chip or grit in the airstream, rubber. PVC is lighter and cheaper, and it wears through on the outside of bends where rubber keeps going. For clean air and fume only, the PVC options are enough.

Does it need earthing?

The supplier does not publish an anti-static rating for this ducting, so we do not claim one. Where static control is a requirement, say so when ordering and we will point you at ducting that is rated for it.

Bores from 40 mm to 300 mm are in black rubber air intake ducting.
