About Clear Yellow Tygon Hose
Tygon tubing in the clear yellow F-4040A grade is the fuel and lubricant line used on small engines, mowers, outboards, chainsaws and workshop test rigs. Hose Suppliers Australia stocks eight sizes from 2.4 mm to 19 mm, cut from one metre up to 12 metres and dispatched from our Brisbane warehouse.
Sizes of Tygon F-4040A tubing we stock
- 2.4 mm and 3.2 mm: primer, breather and carburettor lines on two-stroke and garden equipment.
- 4.8 mm and 6.4 mm: the common small engine fuel line sizes.
- 8 mm and 9.5 mm: outboard, generator and light machinery fuel feed.
- 12.5 mm and 19 mm: larger transfer, drain and vent lines.

Choosing the right Tygon tubing
- Size: Tygon is listed by inside diameter, so measure the spigot or barb it has to slide over.
- Flexibility: the soft wall bends tightly around an engine bay without kinking, which is why it is the usual small engine replacement.
- Compatibility: intended for petrol, two-stroke mix, diesel and lubricants. It is a low-pressure line, not a pressure hose.
- Fitting: warm the end before pushing it onto a barb, then secure it with a spring or small worm-drive clamp.
